With all due respect to American Idol, The Voice, and all the other singing competitions on TV these days, my favorite is The Sing-Off, which features groups of acapella singers, performing everything from pop hits to Broadway classics. The groups are very talented [pictured above is a squad from the University of Rochester], the arrangements are amazing [Some songs seem impossible to do without instruments. But they do them, and well], and judges Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman, and newcommer Sara Bareilles are helpful, not abrasive or insulting.

To promote this season [starting Monday], the producers decided to pay tribute to some great TV shows themes. First up, Sex And The City:

The theme from Seinfeld was almost acapella to begin with, but it still gets a nice freshening by the group:
