The family of 25-year-old Denell Baker received justice on Monday after a jury convicted his killer from a shooting in 2014.

Authorities say that 27-year-old DeShawn Harris shot Denell Baker eight times, including twice in the head, on Peach Street just three days after Christmas.

Police were able to track Harris that night by his ankle monitoring bracelet, because of a criminal possession of a weapon charge from 2011.

A jury found DeShawn Harris guilty of second-degree murder, and faces 25-years to life in prison.

Jordan Hicks, a co-defendant in the case, also pleaded guilty for being the get-away driver and hiding the weapon used in the shooting. Hicks faces up to 22 years in prison.

Both men will return to court on May 31st.
