Up to 200 teams met up this weekend to splash around in the mud and play volleyball at the University of Buffalo's Oozefest.

Each spring, University of Buffalo students, alumni and volunteers participate in Oozefest, one of the country's largest double-elimination collegiate mud volleyball tournaments held every year at UB with over 1,500 players, volunteers, and spectators. It is one of UB's most popular traditions and grows in popularity every year.

Steve Olson, a University at Buffalo Sophomore told WIVB,

“It is a 32 year, 25 hundred person volleyball tournament in the mud. It’s a ton of fun, we bring fire trucks in, and they fill this pit with all of the water from Lake Lasalle.”
