Family and friends of Buffalo State graduate, Nicholas Figueroa, held a Vigil to remember and celebrate his life on Monday night.

Nicholas was found dead in the rubble after an explosion in New York City last week. He was on a date at a sushi restaurant on the ground floor of the building when it exploded.

Nicholas’ heartbroken family joined about 100 people who came together to remember his life. During Monday’s candle lit vigil, Nicholas’ family released white balloons and thanked the crews who worked tirelessly to find him.
