Every year when I see this I think it is one of the coolest charity gestures and watching over 21,000 stuffed animals thrown onto an ice hockey rink is pretty cool to watch too. The video is pretty sweet and while I was watching it I couldn't help but think how many people are getting whacked in the back of the head by teddy bears from the 300's section. Haha.

For almost twenty years a minor hockey team from Canada has fans throw teddy bears on the ice when the team scores their first goal. It honestly looks like a blizzard of bears. All of the the stuffed animals are then given to needy children.

This year 16,912 fans contributed 21,534 bears. Over 200,000 have been donated during the history of the event, according to DeadSpin.com.

Perhaps we can put me on the ice and everyone can throw dollar bills at me for my Christmas shopping charity?
