It’s sad to see it go but safety is the most important thing when it comes to the park. The final stage of replacing and repairing the famous bridge over the river at Letchworth State Park is almost complete.

As you can see in the video below posted by John Kucko on Twitter, explosives took out part of the rail trestle from 1875. The piece blown off is a out 70 tons! Soon the whole bridge will gone but it won't be an empty spot, the new bridge has been in place for a couple of months.
