This week will be one of the coolest weeks of the summer of 2015 in WNY, but still please don't leave your pets or your children in the car for any period of time at all. Recently in Hackensack, NJ, police had to free a crying toddler inside a car a hot and humid summer afternoon.

WPIX-TV reported:

a Bergen County Sheriff’s officer smashed a window, allowing another officer to grab the 2-year-old girl and pull her out. They were called by the manager of the Hackensack store.

The two-year-old girl is safe and sound after she was sent to a local hospital and she is now in the custody of her father.
