The days are starting to get cooler and are beginning to get shorter and shorter.

It's time for fall! This, of course, includes all the delicious fall treats that come with the changing of the season.

Fall has returned, just as my neighborhood is beginning to turn an array of warm autumn hues. The morning dew is back and a slight chill is present in the air each evening. Hot tea in the morning is sounding better and better.

In my garden I'm growing pumpkins! They should be ready to harvest early next month and soon the farmhouse will be filled with the scent of pumpkin pie, roasted pumpkin seeds and pumpkin bread.

This is a great time of year to gift a seasonal treat like a loaf of zucchini bread or pumpkin muffins to a dear friend. I love home cooked gifts. You can taste the love that went into making it.

And don't forget about apples. They are ripe for the picking. If you have apples going bad or more apples than you know what to do with, make a quick dessert tonight. Simply slice them up and throw them in a baking dish, top with oatmeal (mixed with a little butter and brown sugar). Bake at 350 until it starts to brown a little on top. You have quick apple crisp!

Do you have an easy fall snack, meal or dessert? You know you have to share it, right? Call me at 1-888-633-5452 or send it in (with a picture preferably) at D@Delilah.com.

What kind of fall snack or dessert do YOU like to make? Comment below!
