According to filmmakers in 1989, this is how we're supposed to be dressing in 2015....

Here we are, in the dawning moments of 2015...which is the year Marty went to in Back To The Future: Part II.  So, what did they get right, and what did they get wrong?

Apparently there's a group of people called "futurists", and they chatted about how accurate the film was.

What they DID get right:

  • flat-screen tv's, Skype-type communication, and card readers
  • biometrics (scanning eyes or thumbprints as a "key")
  • 3-D technology (holograms)

What we still DON'T have:

  • flying cars (though there is AeroMobil that makes a car turn into a small airplane)
  • self-lacing shoes
  • fax machines and phone booths are kind of...out.
