What Car Did You Go To College In?

I recently read an article that was recommending what cars to take back to school based on where you were going to college. For example, if you are going to the University of Georgia, they recommend a new Dodge Charger with a 370 Hemi so you can cruise city streets and Georgia back roads. Other cars included a Lexus, Jeep Wrangler, and a Toyota Cruiser.

Yeah right! I'll show my age for a moment and tell you the car I headed back to school in. A very used 1965 Rambler Classic! Made by a car company that went our of business in 1987, American Motors. This thing looked like a little old ladies car. It did not impress the co-eds! The only thing it had going for it was a big V-8 engine under the hood. Basic college transportation.

Flash forward to today. When my son went off to Canisius College four years ago It was in a 2000 Dodge Neon that I bought for him. It did the job, and is still on the road today!
