What Kids’ Movie Gets You Choked Up?

When I was 18, The Lion King hit the theaters   I love animals, I love cartoons...how could I not love this movie?  My friend Ashley and I were pretty much the only two "grown ups" there.

I, however, was the ONLY one weeping at the death of Simba's father Mufasa.  I'm not exaggerating...a few kids in front of me turned around and asked if I was OK.

I realize the reason Disney put that in the movie is to strengthen kids' awareness of the circle of life. I get it.  I just can't handle when ANY animal is hurt or sad or killed or even slightly miffed....even in cartoons.

Buzzfeed.com put together a list of the 22 Saddest Moments from Kids' Movies, and just scrolling through this list, with the animated GIFs and clips, brought tears to my eyes.  Guess I'm just a big crybaby!

Don't even GET me started on Charlotte's Web.  I'm surprised my mother didn't have me committed after the emotional tantrum I threw at the end of THAT movie.
