This Sunday is 716 Day (it's 7/16...get it??). In anticipation of this day of Buffalove, we are featuring some of the things we love about Buffalo the most. For me, I love raising my kids here -- and for so many reasons!

On the last day of school last year, I asked my 7-year old what he wanted to do to celebrate. He said, "let's go to the city and do everything." And we certainly did! It goes down as one of my most epic Buffalo memories with my kids.

We started that day at the Buffalo Museum of Science, where he shot off rockets and we looked at mummies before heading to the Buffalo Zoo to see all the animals, and mine for minerals.

After that, it was off to The Hatch for ice cream, then we walked through the Naval Park and down to Canalside to the big sandbox, where he and his little brother played for hours.

We rode the bicycle boat ferry to the Outer Harbor, and played on the amazing playground there next to Gallagher Beach. I recall the sunset that evening being a blazing red, and cool blue and purple...and just perfect.

I've lived here my whole life, and while I've always loved my city, seeing my kids love the city is really an incredible experience. I have nothing but Buffalove for this place, and wouldn't raise my family anywhere else.
