East Aurora? Williamsville? Orchard Park? Lancaster?

I'm not even exactly sure what they're called--downtowns? villages? All I know is that some towns around Buffalo have sweet areas for drinking, eating and shopping and that's why you will find so many people from all over Western New York flocking to a different town's hot spots.

Who's got the best though?

East Aurora?

You could spend forever in East Aurora and have a riot. Vidlers 5&10, Bar Bill, Rookies, Aurora Beer Works, 11th Frame, Griffon Gastropub and tons of local shops and eaterys to visit when you go see the historical village of East Aurora--PLUS, this is extremely important to note--THERE IS NO OPEN CONTAINER LAW IN EAST AURORA.

Williamsville?

You may not be able to walk around with beer here outside, but this Main Street is way busier than East Aurora's, but still a lot of fun. Irishman, Pairings Wine Bar, Share Kitchen, Eagle House, Share, Moor Pat, Glen Park Tavern, Sweet Jenny's, of course the Falls and all the shops and of course host a bunch of special events throughout the year including Winter Fest, Movie Night in Island Park, Dog Days of Summer and more.

Orchard Park?

On the Quaker and Buffalo crossing there are TONS of shops and restaurants that you can have yourself a fun afternoon on the town. Byrd House, OP Social, Magia and Homegrown are some of the highlights you will see when going to Orchard Park.
