With a final winter storm dropping plenty of snow across Western New York, many roads are covered with the white stuff, but who responsibility is it to play YOUR road?

Just because a road is in Erie County doesn't mean that it is up to Erie County to make sure the road is plowed. Sometimes that responsibility falls to the town, city, or village.

For example, Union Road to Como Park Blvd is in Erie County, but it is up to the town of Cheektowaga to plow it and keep it clear!

Not sure who is supposed to plow your road? The Erie County Department of Public Works has a link to their website stating who is responsible for what roads!

If your road isn't plow, check to see who is supposed to maintain it and then contact the proper people.
