The National Weather Service has downgraded the WINTER STORM WARNING to a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY through 6pm. Snow, sleet and freezing drizzle are impacting the area now, with an inch or so expected this morning and only 2-4 inches through this evening.

The morning commute will still be slow. Allow extra time. The major roadways are in good shape. Most area schools closed in anticipation of the storm, you can check the complete list by clicking the CLOSINGS icon at the top of this page. In addition Joe and Cheryl will have school closing information on-air at :05 and :35 past the hour, along with News and traffic during Buffalo's Morning Show.

If you are flying out of Buffalo/Niagara International Airport check with your carrier regarding flights taking place during the warning period. Some flights have already been canceled.
