Whether you loved it or hated it (by the way, if you're one of the former, WHO ARE YOU???) Snowvember affected us all.

And nothing brings the "city of good neighbors" together more like a giant snow-storm!

This morning, we gave you the opportunity to thank those who may have helped YOU out.  The audio from the calls were unfortunately lost, but they ranged from delivery nurses/doctors who were ready to welcome the newest members of the WNY community, to random strangers who extended their homes, food, and warmth to anyone stranded.

Here are some of the texts from our text-line (716-241-9696)

Sandy / Tonawanda: I was stuck at the corner of Bailey and Clinton while trying to go home and some gorgeous man in a big silver truck stopped and pushed me out. What a NICE GUY!!! And beautiful too! :)

Me: the truck or the guy??? LOL ;)

Sandy / Tonawanda: The guy!!!!!

Crystal / S. Buffalo: Want to thank the winchester fire department for making sure our grandma was shoveled out and safe and had all her necessities

Emilea / Eden: I'd like to thank the NICU staff at Sisters Hospital who took care of my son for 4 days while I was stranded at home. The storm started on my birthday and I couldn't get to my son but I never had one worry about how he was being taken care of because I knew how much they loved him and how safe he was there. If it wasn't for them he would've never made it

Renee / Buffalo: I wanted to thank a city if buffalo plow driver...my Mother was in and out if the hospital before the storm hit. There had to be 6 ft of snow in my driveway. I was stressing out about her having to go to the hospital during the storm. Anyway the plow driver must've seen me taking care of her. As was in a wheelchair. All of a sudden I see him scooping all the snow out of my driveway and taking it away. I would've married that plow driver right the and there! It renewed my faith in people that day for sure

Chrissy / Buffalo: I want to thank my son Mike for helping dig my car out that the city buried while plowing. I was post op from hernia surgery & he shoveled for hrs to get me out . He struggled and even hurt himself but never once complained

Sylvia: Good morning I work for aspire western New York and have a good number of homes in the southern tier sites were slammed and I just want to say thank you to the maintenance department who went out and clear doorways shovel snow off roofs and just made it possible for guys to be safe and warm and get the necessary supplies they need our maintenance department don't get have to credit they deserve so thank you to the Aspire maintenance team that shoveled out so many different homes during the November storm thank you thank you thank you

Michele / W Seneca: I would like to thank the Menonites! After 4 days of watching many neighbors lose their car ports, garages as well as see many people evacuated... A bus load of Menonites came to a our aide by removing the nearly 7 feet of snow from my roof

Lorraine / Angola: I'd like to thank Jayde Mollnar from Angola for coming with the biggest tractor I've ever seen and digging out me and many of my neighbors.

Mary / Buffalo: I want to thank all those who came into South Buffalo on snowmobiles or walking to help the elderly making sure they were ok and had food to eat.

Kate / Buffalo: I wanted to give thanks to the 300+ volunteers who came together to form the shove brigade. These amazing people from all over WNY (even some from Albany & Pittsburgh!) came together and helped clear out 400+ homes and provided very necessary welfare checks! Elderly, alone, families out of diapers or people just going stir crazy...the paths cleared were a conduit to get to our neighbors to make sure they were okay! We're having a reunion for volunteers and anyone we helped clear out - this Saturday at Gene McCarthy's from 7-11pm. (73 Hamburg St Bflo) And more importantly give thanks to Susan Celowa for the idea and making it happen!!!

(unknown): I would like to recognize all emergency personnel especially my son who is a medic for rural metro 48 hours straight delivering babies, taking snow mobiles to aid assistance

Is there anyone YOU would like to thank?  Share in the "comments" section on Facebook!
