This is really pretty cool. Students at Mount Saint Mary Academy in Kenmore started the company Sweet Fortunes. The cupcake and fortune cookie business won the SAGE USA competition in San Francisco earlier this year.

The students created their business as part of the Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) program and represented the United States at the SAGE World Cup Championship in Seoul, South Korea, where they placed third. The girls competed against businesses from 11 other schools at the competition in South Korea.

Juniors Sara Ngo (CEO), Julia Badgley (COO), and Emma Murphy (Executive Planner) represented the company at both competitions.

Sweet Fortunes has produced over 2000 fortune cookie-inspired cupcakes and donates a percentage of profits to Camp Good Days, as well as a student-created charitable organization at Mount St. Mary Academy.
