WNY Teacher Named First-Ever Recipient Of Grammy Music Educator Award!

As a STRONG supporter of music in schools, I'm beyond thrilled to announce that the first-ever recipient of the Grammy Music Educator Award is from Western New York!

Congrats to Mr. Kent Knappenberger from Westfield Academy and Central School in Westfield!!!

Affectionately known as "Mr. K" by his students, Kent is on his way to LA right now to accept the award. He'll then attend the 56th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony and receive a $10,000 honorarium!

One of Mr. K's former students was a coworker of mine, and she shares in the extreme excitement and true pride that only comes from the WNY community.
