You know what they say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. How about an apple, peach, plum and a big healthy salad with extra veggies loaded on top?  According to a national sample of children and adults, only 1% of adults and 2% of children consume the recommended minimum servings of fruits and vegetables. In fact, we eat less than half of the fruit we need and just over half of our veggies. Most women require at least two servings of fruit and three servings of vegetables every day, but the more you eat, the better. Fruits and veggies play key roles in reducing many health risks, including heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer.  Women sy the reason for thre lack of fruits and veggies  is cost, nothings on the restaurant menu and my favorite we don't know how to cook them . May I suggest a store such as Aldi or Price Rite to cut costs on Produce, eating at Panera Bread and picking up a good recipe book.
