A new airline has begun operations out of the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport to fill a void left open for seven years.  There's been no direct service between Buffalo and Albany until now with the start of OneJet's twice daily round-trips.

Monday thru Friday flights out of Buffalo are at 7:00 am and 4:50 pm.

Flights from Albany to Buffalo are at 8:20 am and 6:10 pm.

These flights are ideal for people who have business in Albany.  They can get it done in a day and be back home that night.  Round-trip flights are $199.  Flights are less than an hour gate to gate.

OneJet has been in operation for less than two years with 220 weekly flights from its home bases in Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.  In addition to those cities the airline now serves Albany, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Columbus, Hartford, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Louisville, Nashville, Omaha, Palm Beach, Providence and Richmond.

Officials from the airport and the airline got together to cut the ribbon introducing the new service:
