Hearing certain stories from others can make you realize that your life isn't so bad after all.

Delilah explains how she had an encounter with a fan of hers and how it inspired her.

I have the best listeners in the entire universe. When I go to events and do public speaking engagements, I am so humbled by the quality of people that come and meet me, who share their inspiring stories and the trials they have overcome.

I did an appearance this summer in Bryant Park in New York City where I got to introduce actors and actresses from Broadway performances. Somebody in the crowd caught my eye and I went to meet this young woman after I was done speaking. She was in a wheelchair because she was born with no arms and no legs. She told me how she was abandoned at the hospital in Mexico where she was born. An American couple found out about her and adopted her. And now, this young woman lives independently and she has such a great attitude about life! I mean, I sat there and listened to her, blown away by the quality of her character despite all the hardships she has faced.

I complain because my back hurts but this young woman got herself up and ready and to Bryant Park in a busy city to meet me. All the while I was thinking I should be the one standing in line to meet her - this inspiring young lady.

Today I just want to say thank you for enriching my life with the stories you call in, write in or post to my Facebook wall. They don't just impact me, they touch anyone who reads or hears them. So keep them coming. If you have a story to share, or if you know someone who has a story to share, encourage it to come forth and bless all of us.
