How My Kid Reacted To His Home-Made Halloween Costume

Kids are great, aren't they? Thank goodness they are so cute, because they certainly can be overly honest -- as they haven't learned yet the nuances of managing the feelings of others.

In other words, they lack tact.

I spent many hours over the course of two weeks researching, gathering and purchasing materials, learning the finer points of working with a hot exacto knife, and other means of constructing foamcore into the stuff Halloween dreams are made of.

Why? To see the look in kiddo's eyes when he saw his costume finished, that's why.
