Leftovers are an important part of the culinary culture here in Western New York. Waking up with a cup of coffee and a half dozen cold wings dunked in blue cheese is a true Buffalo breakfast.

So what is the must-have leftover here in Western New York? We asked on social media and got tons of answers but there were certain foods that got mentioned over and over again.

There are a couple of things each of these foods has in common:

  • They are delicious both hot and cold.
  • They are easy to reheat if you want to warm them up for breakfast.
  • They are easy to pack up and take to work for a leftover lunch,
  • They are served in such large portions that you are almost always guaranteed to have some leftovers for breakfast or lunch the next day.

So grab your morning coffee or take your Tupperware to the break room and enjoy a delicious list of Buffalo's favorite leftovers.
